如果你或你所爱的人是加州大学旧金山分校的癌症患者, get answers here to important questions about coronavirus (COVID-19) precautions and your cancer care.
谁患COVID-19重病的风险更高?
Older adults (60 years and older) and those with serious chronic medical conditions are at higher risk of getting sick from COVID-19. The serious chronic medical conditions can include heart disease, diabetes, lung disease and cancer. 免疫功能低下的患者也有更高的风险.
免疫功能低下是什么意思?
当身体的白细胞, 对抗感染, 是低还是不能正常工作, 身体无法有效对抗感染. Immunocompromised patients may include patients with cancer and those who are on chemotherapy. 它也可能包括艾滋病毒感染者, 器官移植患者, patients who are on immunosuppressive medication or patients with other known immunodeficiencies.
As a patient with cancer, how much higher is my risk of severe consequences of COVID-19?
A recent Chinese study of patients with cancer who had COVID-19 showed that patients who underwent chemotherapy or surgery in the past month had a higher risk compared to those who had not received recent treatment. The risk appears to be higher in patients with more than one chronic medical condition.
病人 who are undergoing active treatment for cancer are presumably at higher risk than those who are in remission. 病人 who are in the first year after stem cell transplantation or CAR T-cell therapy could be at higher risk for complications if they get infected with COVID-19. Those who are beyond one year after transplantation and are still considered to be immunocompromised may remain at an elevated risk for complications.
